Before my accident, I led a very busy life. I was married to a wonderful woman whom I loved to spend time with. I owned and managed my own business. I played mandolin and guitar in a bluegrass band. For the pure physical challenge, I spent a lot of time running and biking. (The last race I participated in was a duathlon version of a half ironman.) The thought of having a disabling accident never crossed my mind. But, here I am. I've had to confront and accept the fact that my life has changed. It's not easy. In many ways I am very lucky. My wife Lois has stayed by my side throughout this ordeal. I still own and manage my business. I have become somewhat of an expert at using Dragon NaturallySpeaking to control my computer. In fact, I have designed this web site entirely by voice. I have some movement and feeling throughout my body, so I am able to exercise and slowly increase my strength. I have learned to be thankful for what I do have, and make the best of it. I hope you enjoy my web site.
